Six local schools take part in ‘Potty Potatoes Competition’
Comber Horticultural Society launched the ‘Potty Potatoes Competition’ with six local primary schools in the run up to the Comber Potato Festival.
Chairperson, Mervyn Warrington along with Society members, Ann Stevenson, Gillian Downing, Lorna Tinman, and Ken Brundle have been busy running potato planting workshops in the primary schools and carrying out follow-up visits to answer any questions from the children.
Primary Schools taking part include Comber, Andrews Memorial, St Marys, Killinchy, Carrickmannon and Alexander Dixon.
